What we did for team Hatch
First, we set about creating a brand aesthetic for Hatch that would help the app stand out in an overcrowded marketplace.
Not just any aesthetic but one that reflects a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere, combining modern design elements with a touch of cultural inspiration. The colour palette incorporates warm and energetic tones, representing the diversity and dynamism of South Africa. The typography is bold and contemporary, conveying a sense of confidence and approachability.

We then created a digital style guide and UI design system to streamline the Hatch design and development process.
Using the existing Hatch brand as the cornerstone of the deliverable, we crafted an interactive digital style-guide to guide the interface design. With the inclusion of everything from button styles to select controls, this deliverable serves as a single source of truth for the visual style of all Hatch's digital assets.

With the groundwork laid, our team was able to move into the design of the core Hatch value proposition: their experience based dating app.
First, we created a comprehensive blueprint for the Hatch product, detailing its full UX system. We outlined each end user’s experience and interactions with Hatch, allowing Greg and Werner to visualise their digital product. Once the system was perfected, we added the visual and interactive aspects through an iterative process of UI design.
